A Little More News
I just came back from visiting Carmen in recovery. She will hopefully be moved into ICU within the hour. She definitely has full use of her facial muscles -- she can open and close both eyes and she sipped water from a straw. She's in a lot of pain, to be expected of course and she also thinks she can hear from the right side. We have lots of hope. We are allowed to see her for 1-2 minutes, one at a time, about 45 minutes apart. We'll keep you all posted. Mimi

For those of you patiently waiting on an update, I will take the liberty of filling you in on what Sue told me this morning.
Carmen is doing very well, sitting up and talking. The dizziness is not bad but her neck hurts. She thinks she can hear from the right side but is hard to tell due to the bandages. Obviously no facial nerve damage. It also looks like she will be moving out of ICC today. This is all so good!!
Kevin :) !!!
PS.
Way to go Carmen!!

Yay, Carmen! Before you know it, they'll have her out of bed. It's amazing how fast the body rebounds. Tell her to keep up the good work and keep working those lungs (it's annoying to keep up with that ping pong ball thing, but trust me, coughing doesn't feel so good on the ol noggin)
Thanks Kevin!
This is good to hear.
Yeah Carmen!!!
I am glad to hear things are going well!!!
I will keep the prayers coming!!
I will keep reading for updates.
